“At the Carnaval, you get like this, fucking, human mob.

All of the sudden I see this guy.

He is covered in blood, and I`m shooting analog because my other cameras have flash.

And when I'm just about to take a picture, he puts his bloodied hand in front of the camera, saying “no pictures, no pictures!” 

His hand was full of blood, it could have been the best picture in my life. I was right in the thick of it. Everybody was running away. It was starting to fill up with cops. And the guy was getting violent with me. I was gonna get this `red hand of Ulster` just staring at me.

But… It was too fast.

He put up his hand, he moved to much for the analog exposure and right there and then some cop got in between me and him, and he turned around. So I only have like a moving red hand, and it is out of focus.

I could have been the best picture I have taken in my life.”
